Passing of Charter Member Captain Arthur K. Daly Jr.

IAFF Local F-147 regrets to announce the passing of Captain Arthur K. Daly Jr. age 83 passed away on Friday August 2, 2019 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. He was born in Neptune and lived there and in W. Belmar most of his life.

Art served his country as a member of the 505 Airborne Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division 1953-1956. Art is a member of the P.G.A. Tour Partners Club. He was a charter member of The American Legion Post 346 Neptune, retired Earle Naval Weapons Station (1991) as a Captain of the Earl Fire Dept, he was a former member of the Unexcelled Fire Company, Neptune, NJ and was a member of the Harley Owners Group ( S. Carolina).
Art is predeceased by his wife Carol L. Skaar . He is survived by one daughter, Brenda L. Daly,(Bricktown) two sons; Arthur " Kip" Daly III and wife Kathy (Neptune) Kris A. Daly (Neptune City) Five grandchildren; Kristopher R. Daly (Cherise), Evan T. Daly (Valerie) Conner K. Daly, Tyler J. Daly and Hunter W Daly, one great granddaughter , Chloe Daly, 2 brothers -in- law; Charles (Sandy) Skaar and Chris (Sharon) Skaar.
Visitation is Tuesday August 6, 2019 from 4-7pm at Buckley Funeral Home 509 Second Ave Asbury Park, NJ . A Fireman’s Service will held at 6:30 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday at Buckley Funeral Home. Interment immediately following in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
